Converted
25+ reports originally written in Java/Actuate (Formula 1) to jasper for the
firms EGOV platform that firms use to enter compliance information.
Sole developer on a web based system allowing members to document and approve
standard NYSE events that need floor governor approval. Custom application
using web based spring MVC, Java and Oracle. Took over the project at the beginning
from a developer who left and delivered the project on time despite initial
design flaws that had to resolved.
The only developer on a project moving 20 surveillance and compliance systems to an Oracle/JBoss platform. The applications currently are Websphere/Sybase, .Net/Sybase or Lotus Domino.
Helped develop and program a multi dimensional query tool for data mining access for the member enforcement area. Specifically create a web serviced based query engine to create and run queries for alerting users to problems with member’s monthly FOCUS filings.
Created an enterprise wide scanning solution consisting of custom programmed web services, off the shelf products and Captiva’s Input Accel software. The system uses over 20 high end scanners and produces PDF or Word documents for all scanned pages.

One of the original developers of massive custom Client Management System & a HR related review system. I have at worked on almost every part of both systems. I am one of the few developers who can work equally proficient on either the front end or the database side of the product. Have the skill to be called in to create new functionality or provide immediate support to an existing piece in a short amount of time to meet deadlines needed by the business.
Created an Oracle based reporting system for the Personal Client Services Group. The system used Crystal Reports to display the reports. Designed and developed the database side of the system requiring a process needed to summarize large amounts of data for immediate response times.
Created Oracle/Java based web services for a Loan Reporting system used by “The Bank”. Also developed a load procedure that transformed existing data in XML into Oracle. Used Oracle XML capabilities to provide XML parsing and processing in PL/SQL.
[UBS: July 1998 – January 1999] The sole designer and developer in exploring and determining the feasibility of using JAVA/CORBA technology in developing the next generation of internal client/server systems for a major global bank’s credit IT area. Using JBuilder and Visibroker technologies, in addition to a Sybase database using JDBC access, I developed a small three-tier application of an account opening system for the credit area.
Sybase Engagements:
Lead
designer and developer in creating an Internet application for an educational
testing entity. I managed two employees during the process. The application
was written in WEB PB (version 6.0), HTML, Dynamic HTML, and Javascript. The
system is using Netscape’s browser, Netscape’s web server and Oracle 7.3. The application
allows users to grade test essays from their homes. As part of the
application, I had to develop a JAVA applet using PowerJ and third party
imaging JAR’s that displayed TIFF images.
Lead designer and developer in creating an intranet application for major global bank. The System was written in WEB PB, HTML, and Javascript using Netscape’s browser, Microsoft IIS Web Server and Sybase System 11. The System allows users to create credit requests for clients.
Price Waterhouse Engagements:
Lead developer on an engagement for a major reinsurance company. The system was written in Powerbuilder 5.0 and SQL Anywhere. The application allowed for the creation of reinsurance quotes and policies. The system allowed for immediate online quote creation.
Managed a two-month engagement by an outside consultant firm in the development of a sales modeling tool for a major hosiery manufacturer. The System was written in Powerbuilder 5.0 and SQL Anywhere. The system allowed sales personnel to model sales for individual outlets. I was brought in after the project ran off schedule. The system was delivered on time.
Managed a six-month customization and implementation of a product sales data warehousing system for a major consumer products company’s European regional office, in Lausanne Switzerland. The system, developed by Price Waterhouse for the corporation’s headquarters in New York, needed to be adapted for the regions business needs and the regions use of more advanced technology. Responsible for the converting of Visual Basic 3.0 code running under Windows 3.1 to Visual Basic 4.0 code running under Windows 95.
Managed the server side development of a client/server data product sales data warehousing system for a major consumer products company’s headquarters division. Responsibilities included managing and coding of all Sybase System 10 programming for the application. Was responsible for maintaining the data modeling, and Erwin case tool trigger development, for the entire application. Also participated in the Visual Basic, Access and Crystal Report programming that was done for the front-end part of the application.
